遊戲中玩家扮演新聞記者Frank，在1個到處都是喪屍的都市顶用生命為賭注換取新聞

線索。本作最大的特色即是同屏會出現上千個喪屍，並且絕對不會有任何畫面拖慢，這

些喪屍的細節刻畫也是很是逼真。為了增強真實感，遊戲中有1些時候會採用Frank手

中持有的照像機的鏡頭呈現，畫面採用昏黃的舊照片的感覺，更加深了血腥恐怖的感覺

。由於喪屍數量極其龐大，玩家定然要善於利用環境，環境中的悉数物體幾乎都能够用

來當作兵器。《殭屍圍城》(Dead Rising)講述了發生在Willamette小鎮的殭屍事变，

不幸的是病毒並沒有被烧毁，反而迅速舒展遍佈了整個美國，於是就有了續集《殭屍圍

城 2》。《殭屍圍城2》的配景設定在原作數年之後，不過事变發生地轉移到了賭城「F

ortune City」(拉斯維加斯的翻版)，那裡蜂擁著成千上萬的殭屍，能給玩家帶來足夠恐

怖的安抚和殺戮的樂趣。
